-.- crap. like so funny cannn. whatever RSH is doing. i missed the briefing on friday due to AC. ahha! nvm... anws, the module chair was so power to send the email to us at 9 30 in the morn and expect us to turn up for the briefing later in the day. -.- if ive known earlier, i would have gone for the briefing. i was having difficulties signing into the thing, and i just FINALLY logged in. haha!
its a module selection BUT they said: For 2nd Year DCRSM students, the compulsory package of modules have been selected for you.
then why select? waste my time, i couldve went to sleep.

anws, info about my module:

B201(Market Sensing and Intelligence) - This module will provide students with the necessary skills to analyze the environment and know their competitors by equipping them with sensing abilities of customers' needs, an aptitude to observe market trends and capabilities to feedback to management for decision-making. It introduces students to the processes, techniques and tools for successful market intelligence to transform an organization, using data mining and predictive modelling techniques.

B203(Strategic Thinking Skills) - This module is intended to train and hone students in the aspects of strategic thinking and improving their analytical skills (especially for market sensing and seizing market opportunities). Strategic thinking tools such as Michael Porter, Sun Tze Art of War, Prisoner's Dilemma, Basic Game Theory, etc will be covered.

B216(Marketing) - Marketing is fundamental to every business survival. As a core business process, marketing helps a company to plan, execute, conceptualize, price, promote and distribute their products to satisfy their customers' needs and the organization's objective. This module equips students with the basic concepts of marketing and the marketing mix. The students will learn how to derive relevant marketing strategies that is applicable for both on-line as well as the click-and-mortar businesses. Topics include promotion and advertising, market research, understanding consumers, distribution, branding, pricing and writing marketing proposals. Some IT related topics such as e-mail marketing, network marketing, and internet advertising will also be covered.

B217(Sales Management) - Sales is a vital function for any company. Often seen as an "art" only, effective selling actually requires knowledge and skills by which a salesperson promotes his/her product/idea/service to a customer. This module is designed to equip students with the professional knowledge, skills and attitudes of salesmanship and sales management. Not only is this applicable to students who intend to embark on sales, marketing or customer service career, it would also help those in non-selling positions to sell their ideas internally and to value-add to the company's delivery chain. Key topics include; introduction to professional selling, understanding the sales process (prospecting, sales presentation, handling customer resistance, negotiation and sales closure), management of key accounts and a sales team. Students would be engaged in interactive learning exercises such as role play in cold calling, sales presentations and managing customers.

there are other modules, which i think its cooler. haha! like Customer Relationship Management and Service Quality and Professional Etiquette. irritating uhhh. i dun think i can take modules which are offered in RSH but other courses. even year 3 they also set nice nice for you. -.- i so want modules like Hotel and Hospitality Operations(DHHM), Hospitality and Tourism Management(DIEM), Meetings, Conventions and Exhibitions Practices(DIEM) and Culinary Science and Kitchen Operations(DHHM). aish, forget it uh.. im so going to sleep. prob sleep for half an hour and i will have to wake up alrdy. zzz. cos reporting time is 7 00. HALLEJUAH! ahhaha! nvm. im so going off. bye!
