X’MAS SIDE STORY PART ONE [1]

“Jingle Bells Jingle Bells Jingle all the wayyy…” Jonghun was happily singing Christmas carols while cleaning up the room.

We are getting the room ready for a Christmas party that is going to happen in two days time. The band are coming for a stay over that Chirstmas night. Wonder what they are going to do. Wonbin is here to help us out.

Both the guys were trying to shift the Christmas tree out from the storage room to place it next to the study table. I was searching for the box of decorations all around the room. Boys just can’t keep their things properly. I literally ransacked the whole room before I found it. It was simply just lying under Jonghun’s bed. When I took it out, it was so dusty that it causes me to sneeze nonstop.

“Hyung! Stop eating and come help decorate you dweji! ” Wonbin shouted out to Jonghun who was happily blowing his hot steaming ramen. “Arraso, chakaman…” he said and went back savouring his ramen. Both Wonbin and me shrugged at each other and continued hanging the ornaments on the tree, and even before Jonghun finish eating his noodle, we are already done with the tree and the decoration in the room.

“WHOA!!! THIS IS SO CHRISTMAS-Y” I exclaimed when we finally sat down to take a look at what we have been hard working at for the past 3 and a half an hour. “Of course little one, we are celebrating Christmas, if it looks like New Year, then something is wrong.” Jonghun chuckled upon commenting. “OPPA!!! You make it like as if I’m like stupid or what.” I whined. “Deh, baboya.” He then stood up and ruffled my hair. “C’mon, we need to go to the hyper mart to food for the party.” Jonghun called out as he put on his down brown jacket and walked to the door.

Wonbin stood up and ruffled my hair, adding on to the mess that Jonghun just did, and joined Jonghun at the door. “Pfft. You meanies! Wait for me!” I quickly pulled out a pink down jacket from the wardrobe and ran after them.

“Chocolates… Candies… Soft drinks… Crackers… Ramen…” and the list goes on. We were scanning through the shelves of the mart and were looking out for things that we might need for the party. “Alcohol!!!” Jonghun cried out when we were at the alcohol section. Wonbin and me were giving him glares. “What? Don’t look at me like this… all of us except Minhwan can’t drink.

So all we have to do is just to make sure Minhwan don’t drink.” Both of us were still glaring at him, but he glared back, and we decided to just let him be, as long as we make sure Minhwannie don’t drink on that day. “CHOCO PIE!!!!” Wonbin ran to the section containing lots of chocolate pies like a little kid seeing his favourite toy. And he was like emptying the rack of chocolate pies like as if they are one box for 1 won.

“YAH! OH WONBIN! We don’t have that much money for ALLLL your choco pies you babo!”

Jonghun screamed at him when he saw Wonbin walking over to the trolley with boxes of chocolate pies up to his chin, and mind you, Wonbin is tall, taller than Jonghun.

“Hyung, your alcohol seems to be more expensive than choco pies right? Then why don’t you cut down on it instead?” Wonbin bickered.

“No, it’s not like we can finish so many stuffs in one party.” Jonghun says as he points to the trolley, and it’s really filled with snacks, and drinks. Right, just how are we going to finish them? I’m not going to.

Wonbin dropped all the chocolate pies into the trolley, and it was so full that some dropped off the trolley, and he continued to argue with Jonghun. “Well, hyung. You shouldn’t buy so much alcohol since Minhwan can’t help finish them, at least Minhwannie can help finish the snacks!”

And it went on, people walking pass us were giving comments, and I felt super embarrassed standing down there. “OH EMM GEE YOU GUYS!!! GROW UP! I can’t believe you guys are my oppas.” I finally spoke up and had them both looking at me with a surprised look. “Wonbin oppa, take 3 boxes of choco pies, and Jonghun oppa take 3 cartons of beer. The rest of them goes back to the shelves. GO!” Phew, finally. The two guys reluctantly took out the many boxes of chocolate pies and many cartons of beer and place them back into their respective shelf. Boys are sometimes just like kids. I sighed to myself as we checked out of the mart, and we nearly didn’t have enough to pay for it, especially if Jonghun and Wonbin were to take whatever they wanted to take.

“MERRY CHIRSTMAS!!!” the boys shouted as I opened the door for them to enter, each carrying a present on their hand. They make sure the place the shoes properly in case Jonghun come running after them to clean up the whole room, which happened last year when Jaejin didn’t keep it clean. I was laughing away when they told me that, I probably have to do it too.

They placed their presents under the tree and ravage the bags on the table for snacks and drinks. Wonbin hugged on tightly to his one box of chocolate pies and make sure no one finish that box except for him. “Wonbin is always like this, and he always ends up with a sore throat the next day.” Hongki explained to me and started to laugh.

We sat in the middle of the room and start to play truth or dare when we started to get bored of eating and watching Goong on the computer. Did I mention before? All five of them just love Yoon Eun Hye and her crankiness.

“Alright, same old rule, whomever the bottle tip point to, has to choose between truth and dare.” Jonghun briefly explained. “YAY!!! We are back to playing truth and dare again!! That time when we asked Hongki hyung who did he like, he didn’t reveal to us.” Minhwan was shaking and telling me what happened at the same time. I swear I can get headaches if he were to shake just a bit more.

“Chicken! Stop it, and let’s start the game rolling!” Hongki was trying to hide from his embarrassment and spun the bottle, all of us were anticipating for the bottle to stop turning. And… it stopped at… ME! OH EM GEE!!! “ARH!!! NOT FAIR! Why must I be the first to start?!” I was screaming away, hoping that they would let me off. “Beginner’s luck nuna!” Minhwan said, and gave me a big wide grin. “Alright… I’ll take truth.”

“Who do you think is the most handsome guy in this room?” Jonghun asked, feeling all-so-confident that I’m going to say it’s him.

“Minhwannie.” I giggled when I saw Jonghun’s reaction. Minhwan gave out a soft yay when he heard his name.

“Okay! Next lucky person…” I said as I spin the bottle.

“Swuit swuit swuit swuit swuit swuit… swuit… swuit… swuit.”

The bottle stopped at it was pointing to Hongki. Everyone else except for Hongki and me was laughing away, “Hyung! You are so gonna die tonight! Nyahhaha!” Jaejin said and continued laughing.

“So… who is the girl you like?” Minhwannie asked.

“Don’t I have a choice to choose truth or dare?” Hongki whinned.

“NO! You are going to answer what you didn’t the last time round.” Wonbin said.

“Alright alright. I know you guys wouldn’t let me off today.” Hongki was fidgeting in his position, hesitating whether to tell or not to tell.

“C’mon hyung. Tell us!” Jonghun was pestering Hongki to tell us quickly.

“… it’s… it’s… Tiffany.” Everyone gasped.

“…”

“…”

“Okay, I know you guys would have this kind of reaction, but I think she is not that bad afterall!” Hongki tried to explain himself, but everyone else was just doing their own stuffs, finishing their cup, snatching snacks from one another. Even I was trying to pour drinks for the rest, not wanting to hear what Hongki have to say.

“Okay Okayyy. I know it’s hard to believe. Let’s just continue the game yea?” Hongki trying to get us back to play the game.

“Don’t worry hyung. I understand how you are feeling.” Jonghun gave Hongki a pat before Hongki start to spin the bottle again.

And the game continues.

“OWW! it’s goat’s turn again!” Hongki shouted.

“I’ll take a dare this time round.” Jaejin smiled and said.

Jaejin is taking dare? Is he nuts? The boys are having super weird ideas. Just now when Minhwan picked dare, they made him kiss the toilet bowl. Jaejin is crazy, I thought to myself.

“YAY!!! Jaejin hyung! I was waiting for that for soooo long!” Minhwan shouted out.

“HYUNG! KISS ELI NUNA!!!” As soon as I heard Minhwan saying that, I felt my face turning warm, and I know it is red, like I’ve eaten chilli.

“Nonono, youguysmustbekiddingtoaskmetokissherespeciallywhensheissomeoneilike!” Jaejin was talking so fast that nobody caught what he was trying to say.

“HUH?!” Everyone in the room echoed.

“Isayyoucan’taskmetokissher!” Jaejin said, still too fast for us to catch.

“Whatever you said hyung. You guys made me kiss the toilet bowl. So be gald that I didn’t ask you to kiss our feet.” Minhwan sternly said.

Hongki and Wonbin were happily clapping away. I could sense Jonghun not being very happy about the dare Jaejin received, but didn’t want to stop it due to some reason.

“C’mon Jinnie! Hurry!” Wonbin hurried Jaejin.

Soon, the three guys were singing, “Why are we waiting, why are we waiting.” With Jonghun silently clapping at one side.

I felt Jaejin leaning close to me and… gave me a small peck on my cheek.

OMGGGG!! I could have die of awkwardness after this.

“YAY!!!” The guys cheered and whistled when Jaejin kissed me. I feel like just asking someone to kill me and just let me die there.

Everyone was still in the Christmas mood except me Jonghun, Jaejin and me. But I guess the rest of the guys are just too happy to even realise the atmosphere between us was a bit weird.

Wonbin has finally finish up his one whole box of chocolate pie and wanted to get some more from the table.

“AWWW!! No more choco pie?! You guys are so horrible you ate up my choco pies!” He pouted and walked over to sit beside me on my bed.

“Why? Feeling traumatise after Jinnie kiss you?”

“No, Iono. I guess… I feel weird.” I looked down and started playing with the confetti on the floor.

“Welll….”

“HEY!! COUNTIGN DOWN!!! C’MON YOU GUYS!” Hongki called out from outside the corridor, cutting what Wonbin has to say.

“Coming!” Wonbin shouted back, glanced at me, gave me a pat on my shoulder and went to join in the fun.

‘I shouldn’t be missing out on the fun since it is Christmas. I should go have some fun.’ I thought to myself.

As I was walking out, I bumped into Jonghun who was just nice coming out from the toilet.
“Erm… What are you doing here? Not joining the countdown?” Jonghun scratched his head, and broke the silence.

“Oh… I was just about to when I bump into you. You?”

“Uhhh… Same here.”

The atmosphere between us was so awkward that I feel like digging a hole in the ground and hide in it.

“HYUNG! NUNA!! C’MON!! 1 MINUTE LEFT!” Minhwan shouted from outside.

Phew, I guess that would save us from banging into the wall trying to be normal.

“Let’s go.”

“Ye… Yea. Let’s go.” I smiled at him and make my way to the ground level.

All the rest were already there.

“18…!”

“17!”

“16!”

“15!”

…

…

The counting got louder as we drew closer to Christmas day itself.

“5!”

“4!”

“3!”

“2!”

“1!”

“MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!”

Everyone got hold of their spray cans, which I don’t know where did they come from, and started to spray at everyone they see. Wonbin and Hongki walked over and started to spray at Jonghun and me, and after which gave us a big hug. Minhwan and Jaejin joined in afterwards, squishing Jonghun and me who was in the middle.

“HEY HEY HEY! YOU BRATS! BETTER CLEAN UP THIS PLACE AFTER THAT.” Jonghun shouted at all of us after we broke away from the hug.

“YES SIR!” One of the guy joking said.

“Well, the Dorm Master is being naggy again.” Another one said.

The five of us couldn’t help but giggle away.

PLOP!

Jonghun as usual goes to his bed whenever he comes back from outside.

I was taking my sweater when he suddenly stood up and that made me jumped.

“Whoa. What’s wrong?” I asked.

“LOOK AT THE ROOM! IMA GET THOSE GUYS TO COME IN AND CLEAN THIS UP!!!” Jonghun then ran towards the door, and I could hear him shouting from inside. “YOU DIRTY FELLOWS COME UP AND CLEAN MY ROOM BEFORE YOU GUYS GO TO SLEEP!”

Soon, I hear footsteps coming from the corridor and the door banged open.

The guys flit around the room and in less than 5 minutes, the room was clear from litter.

“Bye! We need to sleep, like badly.” I laughed seeing them like that.

I then switched off the lights and went to sleep while Jonghun is still in the shower room.

DANG! This must be the best Christmas ever.
